Running Document Factory from the command line

To run Document Factory from the command line using the commandline.ini file:

  1. Select Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt to get to a DOS command prompt.
  2. At the prompt enter: cd Program Files\Borland\Caliber (or to where you have Document Factory installed) to change the directory to where the Docfactory2.exe file resides.
Note: Please be aware that Docfactory2.exe executes without user interaction when used from the command line.
  3. If the commandline.ini file is in the directory with the docfactory2.exe file, at the prompt, enter the following command: docfactory2 -autofile (you can also enter docfactory2 /autofile). If the file resides elsewhere, enter the following command, substituting the location of the file for "Path" docfactory2 -autofile <path>\commandline.ini (you can also enter docfactory2 -autofile -yes if the file is in the Caliber directory).
