Deleting User-Defined Attribute

CAUTION:
Deleting a user-defined attribute in a project deletes it in all projects. Before you can delete a user-defined attribute, you must remove it from all custom tabs in all requirement types in which it appears. This is a resource intensive operation if there are many requirements in the type where an attribute is being changed. You should not perform this on an active system since users may be affected.

To delete a user-defined attribute

  1. Click Administration.
  2. Click User Defined Attributes. The User-Defined Attributes dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the attribute you want to delete from the list.
  4. Click the delete button. A message is displayed verifying that you want to delete the attribute.
  5. Click Yes to delete the attribute, or No to save it.
  6. Click Close in the User-Defined Attributes dialog box.

Once you have created a new user-defined attribute, you must assign it to a custom tab in requirement type.
