Modifying the Grid View

You can modify information on the Requirement Grid. You can modify all system and user-defined attributes, with the exception of Type.

To modify information on the grid:

  1. Select a requirement in the list.
    Note: To select a group of requirements, select the first requirement you want, hold down the Shift key and select the last requirement you want. All requirements in between are automatically selected. To select multiple individual requirements, hold down the Ctrl key and select each requirement. Changing a requirement name is automatically disabled when multiple requirements are selected.
  2. Enter a File Name for the view.
    Note: When modifying multiple responsible users on the grid simultaneously, the drop down selection box displays users (alphabetically) assigned to the requirement selected last. See related procedures on modifying requirement responsibilities on the grid. A selection window is displayed allowing you to Modify or Go to requirement.
  3. Select Modify to change the attribute. A drop-down list appears displaying the values that you can assign, or you have the option to just change the value of the attribute.
    CAUTION:
    If you modify an attribute with multiple requirements selected, all selected requirements will be modified to the same value. If you do not want the attributes to have the same value, select requirements and modify the attributes individually.
  4. Click on the new value from the drop-down list to assign the value.
  5. Click the Save button to save your modification.
