Configuring a Logic Action

  1. In the Project Explorer, select the simulation containing the logic action. The Simulation Designer opens.
  2. Double-click the logic action you want to configure. The Logic Editor appears.
  3. On the Logic Editor toolbar, select one of the following choices from the Create list box:
    Option Description
    Variable assignment Allows setting a variable for the logic, based on configurable choices. Choices are based on existing data tables and other actions that already exist in the project.
    Choose data Provides the capability to allow data choices in the screen within the running simulation. Choices are configurable.
    Insert data Provides the capability to allow data entry in the screen within the running simulation.
    Update data Provides the capability to allow data editing in the screen within the running simulation.
    Delete data Provides the capability to allow data removal in the screen within the running simulation.
    Variables from dataset Provides the capability to define variables from a dataset.
    Note: The selections you view next depend upon which action you choose and the data tables that are configured in your project.
  4. When the choices are set, click Save & Close. The configuration is saved.
