Simulations Right-Click Menus

There are three right-click simulations menus which you can access by right-clicking the following:
  • Simulations asset type in the Project Explorer.
  • A specific simulation appearing in the Project Explorer and on the Project Simulations tab.
  • An object in the Simulation Diagram.
The following sections provide a list of the commands available on each menu.

Project Explorer Simulations Right-Click Menu

The following table describes the right-click menu of the Simulations asset type in the Project Explorer.

Menu Command Function
New simulation Creates a new simulation.
Paste Item Pastes a copied simulation into the active project.
Find in Tree Opens the Find in Tree dialog box from which you can search for a specific project asset.

Individual Simulation Right-Click Menu

The following table describes the right-click menu of a specific simulation appearing in the Project Explorer and on the Project Simulations tab.

Menu Command Function
Run Generate the storyboard for the selected simulation.
Notes Displays the Notes window.
Discussion Displays the Discussion window.
Traceability Displays the Traceability tab on which requirements traced to the selected simulation appear.
Find in Tree Opens the Find in Tree dialog box from which you can search for a specific project asset.
Note: This command is not available on the right-click menu of a simulation appearing on the Project Simulations tab.
Test Case Insight Opens the Test Case Insight page for the selected simulation, which displays test cases for the simulation storyboard path with magnitude values, test case details, and an option to export the test case to a comma separated values (CSV) file.
Rename Displays the rename function in the Details window.
Copy Item Copies the selected simulation.
Delete simulation Deletes the selected simulation.
Open in Caliber Author Opens the requirement traced to the scenario in Caliber Author.

Simulation Diagram Right-Click Menus

The following tables describe the right-click menu of an object in the Simulation Designer:

HTML override Displays the HTML override page.
Summary Opens the Summary page in a new browser window or tab. This page provides a distributable view of the simulation to which the screen action belongs including buttons to run or edit the simulation.
Notes Displays the Notes window.
Discussion Displays the Discussion window.
Traceability Displays the Traceability tab on which requirements traced to the selected simulation appear.
Rename Opens a box in which you can rename the selected object.
Copy Item Copies the selected screen action.
Delete screen Deletes the screen and all screen assets.
Open in Caliber Author Opens the requirement traced to the scenario in Caliber Author.

JavaScript override Imports the logic into an editor where you can add customization.
Notes Displays the Notes window.
Discussion Displays the Discussion window.
Traceability Displays the Traceability tab on which requirements traced to the selected simulation appear.
Rename Opens a box in which you can rename the selected object.
Delete logic Deletes the logic action and all logic assets.
Open in Caliber Author Opens the requirement traced to the scenario in Caliber Author.

Configure Opens a dialog box from which you can set conditions to control the flow of the simulation.
Notes Displays the Notes window.
Discussion Displays the Discussion window.
Traceability Displays the Traceability tab on which requirements traced to the selected simulation appear.
Rename Opens a box in which you can rename the selected object.
Delete decision Deletes the decision action and all decision assets.
Open in Caliber Author Opens the requirement traced to the scenario in Caliber Author.

Configure Configures the simulation to connect to. Similar to a redirect in a simulation.
Notes Displays the Notes window.
Discussion Displays the Discussion window.
Traceability Displays the Traceability tab on which requirements traced to the selected simulation appear.
Open destination Opens the simulation to which the redirect is configured.
Rename Opens a box in which you can rename the selected object.
Delete redirection Deletes the redirect action.
Open in Caliber Author Opens the requirement traced to the scenario in Caliber Author.

Edit Opens the Text dialog box in which you can edit the rich text.
