Managing Locks

Note: This topic provides concepts for a Caliber Visualize installation without Caliber. If you are using Caliber Visualize for Caliber, review the Caliber documentation for pertinent information about this topic. You must be an administrator to perform this task.

Users can lock their projects. The following are typical reasons that a user might want to lock a project:

  • To prevent unintended changes to a project by other users.
  • To allow a user to make changes to a project, then discard the changes and reload the original, unchanged version.
  • To freeze a simulation when you send the output to a stakeholder for review. This action prevents changes to the simulation until the review is complete.
A user might lock a project and leave it locked when another user needs access to the project. When this happens, the administrator can unlock the project.
