Use Secure Proxy

After you enable SSL/TLS for IBM 3270 or 5250 hosts, you can choose to use the secure proxy server to configure a secure SSL/TLS connection for hosts that are not running a SSL/TLS Telnet server. The secure proxy server is configured through connection settings in Host Access Management and Security Server.

The Design Tool uses the FIPS 140-2 Crypto Libraries and the selected proxy server must support FIPS-compliant ciphers.

Note: You cannot connect to a host using the secure proxy unless you have opened the Design Tool through Management and Security Server. See instructions on how to accomplish this here.
